Life has been rather hectic. Being a stay at home mom while running a business that’s in peak season with a toddler who doesn’t like to sleep when I try to work makes it near impossible to tackle much else. Shawn just got another raise at work. I can’t even begin to explain how proud I am of him. Last year he was earning $100/day. Now he makes $1000/day and we’re really sitting pretty over here. The benefits are pretty great too. Karma has been good to us.
Fall is right around the corner. The leaves are already changing and the weather is cooling. Winter hibernation is not far off. It’s nearing my favorite holiday, Halloween. We had so much going on this summer – trips, concerts, fairs, weddings, birthdays, family visits, so summer just flew by.
It’s hard to believe that Ollie turned 1 in August. She’s super close to walking on her own and will probably take her first steps within the month. She walks along the walls, furniture, just about everything really. At 30 inches in height, she’s a tall girl like her mother. She says Mom, Cat and Duck. She has 12 teeth! She’s advancing well past her age. She’s seriously just the most amazing little girl in my world and I love her more than anything.
We’re in the midst of planning the wedding ceremony that we never got around to hosting. My dress is paid off ($1000!) and is being altered and hemmed as I type this. My dress is incredible. It’s simple but elegant and I look like a princess in it. We have a lovely barn to prep once Spring comes. Think small, rustic, laid back and peonies galore and you have our ceremony. Our wedding invitations have already arrived and they are beautiful. I’m still looking into flower girl dresses for Ollie. She’s going to make the best, and cutest, little flower girl. More on all of this in my next post.
So here’s some pictures of what I’ve been up to lately.
