I’ve decided to rename and recycle this old blog. I can’t promise incredible results but it’s worth a try. So what has changed in my life in the past year? Everything. I gave birth to a healthy, beautiful baby girl. That little girl is nearly a year old now and the most incredible thing in my life. She has changed me and my life for the better. I’m very grateful.
Motherhood is amazing and difficult and beautiful and frustrating and rewarding and occasionally rather gross. But in the end, it has taught me how to truly love someone who is an extension of myself. So in turn, it has taught me to love myself. Win/Win.
Shawn started a fantastic new job. The pay is great and the benefits are too. We took the plunge and got a house together. A large, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, open concept, large patio, garage, partially finished basement, new build in a great neighbourhood. We also have a lovely view. Our home is gorgeous and we’re happy to live in a safe neighbourhood where our daughter can flourish.
My latest business venture has really taken off. I branched out and started a new design business in late 2016 and have been quite successful selling at local trade shows and on the Internet. This helps keep me busy and creative while being a stay at home mom. And it’s always nice to have some extra spending money for road trips and concerts. I spend the rest of my spare time gardening and decorating.
I still come across the occasional post about myself on the Internet. I still check my trackers to find this person obsessively refreshing my social media profiles. Unfortunately I have garnered the attention of a very obsessive and mentally ill cyberstalker who is incapable of moving on. The persistence is sad. And it hurts my friends and family to read awful things about someone they love. But I know that karma has and will continue to prevail in the end.
